Level 2 Design and Visual Communication

This course offers product and architectural design projects. Students are expected to work independently within a self-directed program supported by the teaching staff. The students produce a portfolio of design work to present for assessment.
Recommended Prior Learning
It is highly recommended that students have completed the Level one DVC course.
An A3 clear pocket presentation folder HB, 2B, 4H pencils and coloured pencils are essential items of stationery for this course. Access to a home computer with a good quality graphics card is helpful. A set of Letraset or equivalent felt tip design pens are also very useful to this course.
There may be additional costs depending on the mode of presentation the student chooses to display their final project. Any costs to the student will be discussed prior to starting along any particular pathway.
Total Credits Available: 20 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 7 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 13 credits.
