Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr J. King.

This course continues learning from Year 10 Health and Physical Education. Students will analyse a range of contemporary Health issues including drugs, alcohol and sexuality. Students will learn about strategies to improve well-being and will take action to improve their own well-being.  There is also an emphasis on developing interpersonal skills and problem solving in relationships with others. This course will be based around the new NCEA standards for 2024.

Demonstrate understanding of interpersonal skills used to enhance relationships.

Term 4
External preparation for: Demonstrate understanding of issues to make health enhancing decisions in drug-related situations.
